About the domain
A few years ago I have made a major domain-purge and got rid of every domain that I had been paying-for, and never used (there should be a name for that I guess) in order to create a bit more clarity for myself, let alone saving some money in the process. Since that time I have gotten rid of two more (!) and up recemtly had been happily living with only one domain.
That is, up to that moment during which I accidentally misspelled my own domain, after all, I'm likely to be the only one ever visiting this site, and ended up on a site which I really didn't agree with - in any possible way.
This bothered me to no end as I was afraid someone looking for me might mistake the sites as well, and I really had no intention to be mistakenly be taken for someone else, even if only briefly. Given the sheer amount of domains it is naturally inevitable that something like this could happen, but I prefer to avoid such as much as possible.
So, after a lot of back and forth, I opted for a new one, even though it resembles more less the output of a cat ran over the keyboard, but the logic should be obvious - https://svbck.org
Since this blog is published using ORGMODE I naturally opted for the .org ending and as a bonus: it is short. Additionally there is an easter-egg in there, which is obvious only to one person on this planet.
It goes without saying that within the next few days, I will run into a whole set of pages with similar domains, that I really will not agree with, but that will be a problem for another time.
